SAN FRANCISCO, October 21, 2011 - ICAP Patent Brokerage, the global leader in intellectual property brokerage and a division of ICAP plc, the world’s premier interdealer broker, and ICAP Ocean Tomo Auctions, are offering for sale technology related to asset management at its upcoming Summit on Patent Monetization and Live IP Auction November 16th & 17th in San Francisco. The Lot is owned by Louis S. Addonisio and includes 1 US patent and 1 US application.

The featured technology, listed as Lot 6 in the online auction catalog, can be viewed at www.icappatentbrokerage.com/forsale. The portfolio discloses techniques for the remote management and tracking of assets. Attached to each asset is an electronic device (e.g., RFID tag) containing information such as a unique identifier for the item. The device communicates wirelessly with a portable terminal equipped with a GPS and reader capable of scanning RFID tags or barcode labels. The terminal transmits item information, including current location, to a central database enabling real-time updates for all assets in the system.

Forward citing companies include Batterycorp Inc. and Wal-Mart Stores Inc.

Dean Becker, ICAP Patent Brokerage and ICAP Ocean Tomo Auctions CEO, commented, “Our Fall 2011 Auction will be our biggest yet, featuring more than 140 lots.
